Okay so two things is hardly a spree… I was going to start making croissants the other night but I realized the battery in my scale was dead. No croissants. However a new battery was acquired so they will be happening soon and I will blog about them, I promise.
For now I made some red velvet cupcakes and some chocolate crinkle cookies. I love making my entire apartment building (it’s not that big) smell like a bakery. Smells so goooooood. Both recipes I used just so happen to be Martha Stewart recipes…I don’t know how that happened. I just saw the crinkle cookies and decided they looked decent enough to make. I don’t have any pictures right now because my camera is once again being a huge asshole and telling me to charge the battery pack even though it’s fully charged. Thanks camera, I really appreciate this. Maybe tomorrow it will feel like working and I can take some pictures then.
Since I’m feeling incredibly tired and lazy right now, you can find the link to the recipe for the cupcakes here, and the link to the recipe for the cookies here.
On another fun note, I start my new job at Art Is In Bakery tomorrow, bright and early at 5am. I say bright but it will most definitely still be dark out. That hurts my heart a little bit. My alarm is set for 4:07am. I wish I had a car so I didn’t have to get up until 4:30am. But no…bus. Stupid bus.
I’ve used Martha’s recipe for red velvet before, but have had the best results with Magnolia Bakery’s (NYC) recipe. Sooo good. Their cream cheese icing recipe rocks too.
(cute blog – I just discovered it today! đŸ™‚ )
I’ve only ever used their vanilla cupcake recipe and was quite disappointed. But I’ll try their red velvet recipe fo sho just cause I like experimenting. Glad you like my bloooooooog!
