It has been a long time since I last blogged about anything. Mostly because I couldn’t renew my other blog (which was http://www.bakemetasty.com but currently does not exist) and am currently working on that.
So! In the mean time, I suppose I should be blogging here. I miss my old blog. Apparently so do a lot of people, but I had no idea. So this post is dedicated to Nic and Andrew who apparently liked seeing the things I make and quite angrily yelled at me for letting original bakemetasty die.
But look look look! Over the holidays I was sort of taking a break from baking, but ended up baking a lot anyways. I didn’t get a lot of pictures of the stuff I made, but I did get a picture of these doughnuts.
Maple bacon doughnuts. I know it might sound weird. Does it sound weird? Some people were skeptical and said it sounded weird. But I did it anyways, mainly because my brother and his friend asked me to. So I did. And holy shit balls they were good. The texture of the doughnuts was light and fluffy kind of like Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Except with bacon in them and a maple glaze and then more bacon on top.
Look at these. JUST LOOK AT THEM. LOOK. AT. THEM. Next time I’m gonna take it a step further and make a breakfast sandwich with a breakfast sausage patty, some egg, and cheese inbetween. Maybe even risk a heart attack and dip it all in tempura batter and deep fry it all together. Am I gonna die? Yeah, probably. No big deal.
